William True earns "CLHMS" Designation
Expertise and training give top realtors the advantage, so Sarasota's William True of True Real Estate certainly has some big advantages.
He was recognized in November on the cover of Sarasota REALTOR® Magazine for having more certifications and designations than any other Florida realtor. In fact, True is one of the nation's top earners of designations, and he just this month added a CLHMS designation, making him a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.
True and his team at True Real Estate are dedicated to the continuing real estate education that keeps them on the cutting edge of the profession. Industry changes in the last twenty years have been revolutionary by any standard; the best agents are constantly relearning, retraining, and re-tooling to stay competitive and to offer superior expertise and services to clients.
There's plenty to learn. Realtors have a variety of technological tools that weren't available twenty years ago, and mastering these tools is imperative. The historic
housing crisis, and the new higher percentage of bank-owned and underwater properties, require additional training for agents. Globalization in the last two decades has created new educational needs as well as new learning opportunities.
True's most recently-earned designation, the CLHMS, is recognized as a mark of accomplishment in luxury real estate markets everywhere. It assures both buyers and sellers that the agents who have earned it possess knowledge, experience, and competence regarding luxury properties. The CLHMS is a special designation for several reasons.
The designation is offered by the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing (ILHM), the real estate industry's premier independent authority in training and certification for real estate agents working in the luxury residential market. Training is thorough and up-to-the minute, and the CLHMS designation indicates proven experience as well as special knowledge of the luxury market. To earn the designation, an agent must successfully list and/or sell luxury properties in the top 10% of his or her market area, as defined by the area's sales prices in the most recent 12 months. (Homes priced under $500,000 will not be considered, even if the top 10% of a particular market is below the $500,000 minimum.) Agents must also complete two full days of classroom training and be members in good standing of the ILHM.
In-the-know affluent buyers and savvy sellers often now express a preference for agents with the CLHMS designation; they know these agents have the insight and thoughtfulness they require.
The CLHMS is vital and prestigious, yet it's only one among more than a dozen designations earned by William True and his team at True Real Estate. None of these designations represent "required" continuing education; rather they represent True Real Estate's deliberate, voluntary commitment to provide buyers with the highest-level possible expertise and service. For anyone considering a property purchase in Sarasota, there's really only one sensible choice: the proven experts at True Real Estate.
