Mira Mar

Siesta Key real estate has several distinct faces. There is the vibrant tourist beach condo, the canopy streets of old-Florida lifestyle, the quiet serenity of hidden beach cottages, and the gracious living of waterfront mansions. Mira Mar of south Siesta Key embraces the last of those options.

Mira Mar is located on the eastern fork of South Siesta Key on Midnight Pass Road. Its homes are located either along peaceful Heron Lagoon, or direct bayfront. Most homes sit majestically behind gated walls, and the flora of South Siesta dominates - lush landscaping, towering palms and blooming tropical flowers will remind residents of Hawaii, or the the islands.

Homes vary in style but are always grand. The residences located along Heron Lagoon offer peaceful fishing, wildlife viewing, kayaking and relaxing along a truly special lagoon which hearkens back to the old days in Florida; while homes along the bay enjoy sweeping water views, boat docks, vistas of Sarasota mainland, and everything Sarasota water culture offers.

South Siesta is far quieter than areas to the north, very few people venture down this end unless they reside there. South Siesta boasts Turtle Beach, a small and more wild version than its sister beaches on Siesta Key, but gorgeous nonetheless. Although the Village is only a few miles away by car, residents will also enjoy the familiar camaraderie of the local hangout, Turtles on the Bay, and Ophelia's waterfront restaurant is not to be missed.
