Lido Key / St. Armand’s
Lido Key evokes a feeling of casual elegance, unlike many beachfront communities.
Lido Key beaches, like the beaches just to the south on Siesta Key, are expansive and white. Lido Key public beach offers a rare amenity – a public pool located beachside; and the park located at the south end of Lido Key provides shaded picnic areas and playgrounds which are great for families.
Lido Key real estate provides some of the most popular condo complexes in Sarasota, with unobstructed water and beach views. There are also many residential homes on Lido Key, either surrounding John Ringling’s famous St. Armand’s Circle, or scattered throughout the Key.
The tiki bar at The Lido Beach Resort is a popular local hangout and provides a true “Jimmy Buffett” atmosphere, while the Holiday Inn offers brunch with a breathtaking view.
The Grand Prix Races happen every July 4th. The speedboat races happen just offshore, and the entire weekend is dedicated to the event. This is an especially great weekend to live on Lido Key, because you won’t find any parking! It is one of the most anticipated and attended events in Sarasota.
