Sarasota is well known for beaches and water, but many people are not aware that just east of the highway lies a whole other world - an active equestrian community with expansive green pastures.
Although there are equestrian properties sprinkled through Sarasota, they are largely concentrated in the area that runs from I-75 east about 10 miles, from University Parkway down to Clark Road. Once you get "out east", your options for horse farms and ranches are widely diverse, both in style and price range.

Communities generally offer parcels from 1 acre lots to 10 acre lots; however many have 5 acre lots or 10 acre lots as a minimum. The amenities are varied, from bridle paths to riding clubs to polo fields. Horse lovers can even choose to live in Sarasota's fly-in equestrian community, complete with its own airfield. Homes range from modest cabins to elegant mansions.
